Thermal Imaging

Have you ever considered thermal imaging of your switchboard? Thermal imaging is the use of an infrared imaging and measurement camera to determine thermal energy emitted from an object. Novocastrian Electrical provides thermal imaging services to clients across Newcastle, Port Stephens and the Hunter Valley.

Thermal imaging is non-contact, non-invasive and best carried out when the switchboard is under normal operating conditions. Thermal imaging enables you to avoid unnecessary electrical faults and identify potential switchboard hazards early.

Novocastrian Electrical employs a mobile service team that can provide timely repairs to electrical equipment installed at private homes. Our works management system allows our closest tradesman to be despatched to your location if your call is of an urgent nature.

Electrical Testing and Tagging

Electrical equipment and appliances in use within a facility or site may have a requirement for testing and tagging to ensure compliance.

Novocastrian Electrical are able to provide an appliance testing service which includes undertaking any repairs required to the appliances during testing which will reduce down light of failed equipment.

This type of testing can be scheduled as a recurring task with time lines to Australian Standard requirements to ensure items never have testing tags that are out of date.

Exit and Emergency Lighting System

Commercial buildings are required to have exit and emergency lights installed throughout the facility.

Smoke Detectors Installation/Testing

All new homes are required to have hard wired 240 volt smoked detectors installed throughout the property. The number and locations of the detectors is governed by the size of the residence.

Novocastrian Electrical can provide an obligation free quote for the installation of hard wired smoke detectors in existing homes.

Once installed the smoke detectors will require regular testing to ensure operation will occur if and when they are called upon during a fire event. Novocastrian Electrical have the experienced tradesman to undertake this testing which will be followed up with written report listed results

Safety Switches Installation/Testing

All new homes are required to have hard wired RCD’s (Residual Current Devices) installed through out the property for both lighting and power circuits. The number and locations of the RCDs is governed by the size of the residence.

Novocastrian Electrical can provide an obligation free quote for the installation of hard wired RCD’s to existing homes after testing of the circuits installed to ensure no faults are present.

These devices provide the homeowner with the confidence that equipment running off of the electrical supply is safe to use and will be identified if faulty.
